About Me

I'm Akua, a postpartum doula and newborn & infant care specialist with a background in nursing. My passion for postpartum care is both professional and deeply personal. Through my own experiences with C-section recovery, postpartum, and the NICU, I understand that no two births, babies, or postpartum journeys are the same.

  • Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

I've got you covered

Daytime help

$35/hour, 5 hours minimum

  • Need a few hours here and there? I come to you during the day so you can nap, shower, eat a real meal, or just breathe while I care for you and the baby.

Fourth Trimester Essentials

$960

  • Think of this as your starter support for those first tough weeks home.
  • It's 30 hours of daytime help that you use whenever you need it — a few hours several days a week, however works for your family.
  • Great if you want steady help settling in.

Overnight Support

$384 per night

  • You sleep, I stay up. I care for your baby through the night (about 8 hours) so you actually rest.
  • Book a single night when you're wiped out, or several nights to truly catch up.
  • This is the one exhausted moms fall in love with.

My Approach

I created MAPS Wellness Concierge to provide mothers with compassionate, individualized support during the postpartum period while ensuring their newborns receive attentive, nurturing care. My approach centers the mother — her recovery, rest, emotional well-being, and transition into life with her new baby. Whether I'm supporting a mother after a C-section, providing newborn care, or helping her get much-needed rest overnight, my goal is simple: care for the mother while she heals, and care for the baby while they both adjust.
