Where do the answers come from? Is this the same as ChatGPT?
Unlike general purpose chatbots such as ChatGPT, every answer from the AI Doula Assistant is grounded in the Newmom Academy curriculum — the same evidence-backed material reviewed by our Expert Council.
Who is the AI Doula Assistant designed for?
It is intended for trained, certified, or experienced birth and postpartum doulas and Newborn Care Specialists. It is not designed for parents seeking direct medical or doula care.
Can the AI Doula Assistant understand Spanish?
Yes. Ask in English or Spanish and receive the same grounded answer in the language you asked.
Is my client information safe?
You never need to share client names or protected health information to get a useful answer. Conversations are private to your account.
Can the AI Doula Assistant replace doula training?

No. The assistant provides general educational information only. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, prescribe medications, interpret medical results, or replace a physician, midwife, nurse, IBCLC, mental health professional, or emergency service.
Can I use its answers directly with clients?

Yes. The AI Doula Assistant is a text-based service. You can type your questions and receive written responses. Standard text messaging and data charges may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.
Which plan should I choose?
Choose the Postpartum and Newborn plan if you primarily support families after birth. Choose the Birth Doula plan if you focus on pregnancy and labor support. If you provide both birth and postpartum services, the combined plan gives you access to both assistants at a lower bundled price.
Can I change or cancel my subscription?
Yes. You may change or cancel your subscription according to the billing and cancellation terms shown during enrollment. Cancellation will prevent future renewal charges, but previously paid subscription fees are nonrefundable unless otherwise required by law.
